Files Excluded From Auto Build

Project-level NCrunch configuration setting
ID/Tag in config file: FilesExcludedFromAutoBuild

Purpose

When the NCrunch engine is enabled, NCrunch will automatically build projects whenever a change has been detected in any file. The Files Excluded From Auto Build configuration setting allows you to specify files that will be ignored for this behaviour.

Files marked as excluded from auto build will not automatically trigger NCrunch's build logic when they are changed. However, NCrunch will still continue to synchronise any changes from these files into workspaces when builds are eventually triggered through other file changes.

Recommendations

It can be useful to adjust this configuration setting to specify file types that are not normally involved in the build process, such as raw HTML and Javascript. Doing so can reduce unnecessary processing and improve performance.
