Sliding Build Delay (in ms)

Global-level NCrunch configuration setting Default Value: 0
ID/Tag in config file: SlidingBuildDelayInMilliseconds

Purpose

This configuration setting controls a sliding delay that forces the engine to wait before executing any builds after the solution has been changed.

Making use of this setting will slow down engine response times, but will reduce system load by reducing the number of times a project needs to be built while heavy changes are made to the codebase.

The value for this setting is in milliseconds (enter 1000 for a 1 second delay).

Recommendations

When working on very large projects with a high build time, this setting can be useful as it can save the engine from executing builds against projects that are still undergoing heavy changes.
